Mohs Surgery

Mohs surgery is a highly specialised technique used to treat skin cancers including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, lentigo malign, and selected rarer skin tumours. It involves precise, step-by-step removal of cancerous tissue while preserving as much healthy skin as possible.

This advanced procedure is not widely performed, and Dr Shah leads a tertiary referral service in both the NHS and private practice. Mohs surgery offers a very high cure rate for primary tumours (over 99%) and is designed to achieve the most accurate removal with the smallest possible scar.
