Dr Shah is a UK qualified Consultant Dermatologist and Skin Surgeon. With over 15 years of experience, he specialises in all aspects of dermatology and skin surgery including Mohs Micrographic Surgery.

Experience
Dr Shah started working with Professor Camp in Leicester. He then worked briefly in Australia and moved to the award winning Dermatology Department at Cardiff in Wales, where he completed his training with Dr Richard Motley. He is an experienced clinician and believes in helping the person rather than seeing and treating just the skin condition. It is very common to feel stressed or anxious (for example) when living with a skin condition. Dr Shah has completed further training in psychodermatology and understands the importance of acknowledging and helping those people who face such challenges.He is part of the British Association of Dermatology (BAD) working group updating the Vitiligo Guidelines, is an executive member of the British Association of Dermatological Surgeons (BSDS). He believes that it is important to be involved in patient focused service developments and keeping the patient at the fore front of any of his work.
Private Work
Dr Shah offers consultation, assessment and treatments to patients at several locations in Central and North West London. He sees a range of patients from those with general dermatology rashes to extensive and complex skin cancers. Having setup the first private Mohs service in OneWelbeck – Central London and OSD Healthcare in Hemel Hempstead, he chairs the Private CPS Skin Cancer MDT.

NHS
Dr Shah is a Consultant Dermatologist and Cutaneous Surgeon at Amersham NHS Trust where he holds a permanent substantive post. He is the Lead for Skin Surgery. He is a key member of the department and takes great interest in ensuring gold standard patient-focused care. He also set-up the new and successful Mohs service at Hillingdon Hospital working collaboratively with other specialities for the best patient experience. He manages patients with complex needs and maintains a holistic approach. He has previously worked as a Consultant Mohs Surgeon at Hillingdon NHS and University College London Hospitals Foundation Trusts.
Research
Dr Shah is a Consultant Dermatologist and Cutaneous Surgeon and started his research studying immune cells with eczema. He then progressed onto co-authoring the national vitiligo guidelines for the UK.
He has also worked with Cardiff University to develop the use of microneedles with vitiligo patients as pilot study. Unfortuntely due to Covid hit and the trial did not continue and did not yield positive early results. However he is perservering to try and encourage others to take up the trial internationally.
